It was challenging to present this piece of writing because I didn't know if I put enough detail and information so that people could understand it. I enjoyed this activity because it had made me learn more things like what is vitamin C good for.

I was learning to skim and scan Information in the text.
I learnt that the Morepork is New Zealand's only native bird and more interesting facts.
I enjoyed this activity because it gave me more information about native New Zealand birds. 

End of The Year Maths Challenge

Reflection

WALT use my knowledge to on addition and multiplication to work out problems It was tricky to find out how many weeks were left because there weren't just weeks in the answer there were weeks and days in the answer. It was easy to find out how many days were left in the term because I typed it in after answering how many weeks were left and that made it easier because there are five days in a week and I just added them all up with the leftover days.

It was easy to type in most of the important parts because I memorised them. It was tricky to type in all of the important parts because it was hard to tell if some parts were important or not. I need to keep working on summarising.

Refection I found it easy because I knew what values to put them under. I also found it easy because I had a buddy. I enjoyed this activity because it helps you learn about values. I am going to work on respect because I often don't listen on the mat.

Reflection In this activity we were learning to write a narrative poem. It was easy to add interesting detail to this piece of writing because I put lots of ideas in my planning. Next time I need to work on writing this narrative poem like a poem not a narrative story.

Reflection WALT tell the time in blocks of five. It was tricky to write the time in words because I didn't really know how to convert numbers into words.

Reflection I learnt that a thrush is a bird and it eats insects. It was tricky to put the animals and insects together in the right order because some insects are bigger than some animals.

Reflection It was easy to find answers for the questions because the author stated many hints. It was tricky to find the hints because the author put them in random but sneaky places. I enjoyed this piece of work because it gave me a challenge and I love challenges!

Reflection It was tricky to find inferences because the inferences were hid in a spot that I couldn't see. I learnt that snails are relatives of slugs.

In this activity I was learning to link ideas.
I enjoyed reading the article about the department of conservation because I love learning new things.
It was tricky because I needed to inference some of the questions.
It was easy because the book had most of the information.

Reflection WALT use place value partitioning to add 3 digit numbers It was tricky to do this activity because I knew the answers but I didn't know how to explain them.

Reflection I am learning to use our rubbish buckets correctly. It was easy to sort out witch piece of rubbish or food goes in the compost, recycling etc. In this activity I learnt that grapes have citrus.

Plan For Explanation Writing

I am learning to plan for events and use topic words for an explanation.
 In this activity I learned how to make a padlet with my buddy.
It was easy because I have experience with this type of writing.

Reflection WALT skim and scan to find information from a pepeha. I worked with a buddy. I think I did well at thinking of ideas. I learnt about what a pepeha is. I found it tricky to skim and scan. I need to keep working on this.

Room 14 's Favourite Sport

Reflection I have been learning about doing a statistical inquiry about Room14's Favourite sport.
It was tricky to count track of who we asked because some people forget if they were asked. It was easy to put the data on the bar chart/histogram because all we had to do is colour in the portions. Next I would like to do another bar chart and another enquiry.

Bio Poem

Reflection WALT write a bio poem. It was easy to type because you only had to copy. It was hard to put in the picture because you needed to get the perfect size for it.
