I was learning about telling the time. I know that the minute hand counts the minutes in fives.

It was tricky to tell if the long or the short hand was facing the number. It was tricky to tell if itwas half past  or o clock time.

We are learning to make inferences. I know that inferences are when you know something about the characters that the author did not say.  I learnt that the pictures can help me too. It is easy to make inferences because the pictures will help me.

WAL About summarising. I know that summarising means saying the story in short. It is tricky to summarise because you have to remember each and every part of the story.

I was learning about multiplication. I know that I can use my multiplication facts to solve other multiplication problems. It is easy to use repeated addition. Now I need to use place value.

Reflection.
I was learning about long vowel sounds. I know the long e sound can be ea or y in words. It was tricky to know what spelling pattern to use in words.

I was learning about 3D shapes.I know that 3D shapes are not flat. It was easy count how many sides a cube has. Now I need  to improve on knowing all the names.

Reflection.
We are learning to make inferences.I know that the author is trying telling us something without writing it down.Sometimes the pictures helps me to make inferences. Sometimes the rest of the story helps me to
make inferences too.

Instructions

Reflection.We are learning to write instructions.I learnt about using linking words like finally and later.It was easy to to use linking words in instructions because there are so many. Now I need to add more detail to my instructions.

Fractions

We are learning about  fractions like half and quarters.
We know that fractions are a part of wholes.
We know about the numerator and the denominator
Its easy to find half.
Half is two equal parts.

Recount writing

I was learning about recount writing.  I learnt to put capital letters and full stops in the right  places.  It was easy to use linking words like after, that, then, so.

Term1 highlights

 

My favourite part of the term was the shared lunch because I got to eat yummy food.
